Message from the Principal

Our children are always at the heart of Doagh Primary School. We aim to promote excellence in child-centred education by providing a thriving learning and teaching community with a culture of success for all children. All staff members create an environment where our children can grow, learn and achieve their full potential, regardless of ability levels.  We encourage the development of each pupil physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, morally and culturally.

In Doagh Primary School we promote a rich, welcoming and inclusive learning community.  This community is committed to offering a safe, secure, caring, positive and challenging working environment in which every individual feels valued, respected, supported and happy.  Indeed, we strive to make our school a very happy place for our pupils.

We foster and encourage caring attitudes and values: self-respect, self-discipline, commitment, confidence, fairness, courtesy, good manners, tolerance and respect for others.  We believe that these are attributes that will serve the children in Doagh Primary School well as they progress through school and beyond.  Our aim is to prepare children for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.  We strive to cultivate our good citizens of the future.

Positive staff, pupil and parent relationships permeate our school community and this creates a favourable working environment for all.  We recognise and respect the importance and value of working in partnership with our parents and with the local village community.

Clearly, a web-site cannot truly reflect the real ethos and atmosphere of a school.  I therefore warmly invite you to contact me if you would like to learn more about our school, make enquiries about your child’s education or to arrange a visit.

Mrs L Brown

Principal
